1/ I experienced blockchain and crypto for the 1st time back in 2015 with this little miner I made out of wood, broken watch parts and a Raspberry Pi. It generated like 3$/mth in BTC. I was so amazed by the technology and this little autonomous machine validating and earning

As I said before, the NerdQX, like the original, is an absolute design icon. But it is also the absolute top performer among all four ASIC miners we have seen so far. I was very excited to see whether a 100% copper cooler with the same geometry could outperform the original AXP120 on the NerdQX. But first things first: it shows once again that changing the geometry of the PCB is a clear advantage... It simply allows for so many other cool setups that were rarely possible before. The test was conducted at 1000 MHz, i.e. 8.1 Th/s. Why? Because the NerdQX can do it and it's almost silent 😊 So a small test course was started: AXP120 & Be Quiet PMW: ASIC - 53.1°C / VREG - 47.5°C AXP100 & Be Quiet PMW: ASIC - 51.3°C / VREG - 46.3°C AXP100 & NF-A12x25 PWM: ASIC - 52.8°C / VREG - 48.6°C AXP100 & NF-A12 lPPC-3000 PWM: ASIC - 50.4°C / VREG - 45.6°C As you can clearly see, I also tested the AXP100 with two Noctua fans. In fact, the Be Quiet fan performs significantly better and is noticeably quieter than the NF-A12x25. With the NF-A12, there's no need to talk about performance; it delivers, and you can't miss it. Now the question remains: the AXP100 is already extremely cool, and with the copper VREG, it looks fantastic. Although the NerdQX is a design icon, when paired with a copper cooler, it's simply an ultra-sharp piece of engineering. In terms of performance, there's not much difference between the two coolers. I would even say that the AXP120 performs slightly better because it simply has more cooling surface area and offers much more convenient mounting options. It's interesting to see that the NerdQX is delivered in perfect condition and can be tuned and improved. But everything is so well balanced that you don't really need to. As I said, as an absolute copper fan, I have to say that it's extremely cool to see such a rare and beautiful AXP100 on the gorgeous white NerdQX PCB. So do whatever you want with this little review 🙃

I spent a long time searching for the AXP100 C65, a thing of impossibility. But now I can combine the old with the new, such as the #NerdQX, and test it. The NerdQX is already a design and performance icon in 2025, so how can the original be improved upon? The original NerdQX comes with an AXP120 and a 120 mm Be Quiet fan. The AXP100 C65 is slightly smaller, as the name suggests. It comes with a very unusual 100 mm fan, which is not only loud but also doesn't work very well. The AXP100 C65 is slightly narrower than the AXP120 and therefore offers significantly less cooling surface. However, it is made entirely of solid copper. So it's actually an interesting question which cooler delivers better performance.
