We got another friend to switch from a gas car to a Tesla!
She’s a social worker who doesn’t have too much to spend on a monthly payment, so we wanted to get it as low as possible.
We ended up leasing her a Model 3 for just $163.14 a month!
She will be selling her old gas car, which is fully paid off, to Carvana for $9,000.
Then, her spouse is providing $5,000 in Tesla referral credits. She’ll be paying $3,000 from the car sale and putting $6,000 in the bank.
$163.14 * 24 months = $3,267 over the course of the lease. The money she got selling her old gas car will completely cover that. Insurance is actually less than her old car.
And on top of that, she spends $400 on gas a month.
Essentially switching to a Tesla cost her NOTHING, and she will likely save money on gas and maintenance on top of that! She will now be able to use FSD to get to work as well, which is going to be a life changer given that she spends 2 - 3 hours a workday commuting.
If you don’t think you can afford a Tesla, look into it… it is a lot more affordable than you think.
