@lontra1903 I think that's better too, main issue is higher seed may object for biz rzns: they see less gate revenue if they sweep & therefore become a sort of victim of their own success. A real tradeoff, one I'd personally make, but I see the logic of 2-2-1

I understand why pwhl's best-of-5 for now, but 2 main probs w/ the structure 1) game 2 is disproportionate: 2-0 is light years diff from 1-1 2) in 2-2-1 home ice distrib, higher seed can't win series @ home w/o going to 2-2, vs can w/ a game 6 (w/o the heartattack of a game 7)

The pt isnt only victory, but the beauty + resilience of continuing to become better inside a brutally unforgiving sport

To me ARD has become a sort of proof hky can be a practice of self-deepening vs j competition/dominance. I think that's a v healthy + reflective way of being

I think even in loss Desbiens embodies something profound + beautiful about the sport and I feel lucky to get to watch & learn from her in her prime. We're so lucky to have the pwhl. Reminded of her line "I returned to hockey bc I needed to see how much better I could get"
