Most private pension plans are rubbish. Companies put in a token amount (1-3%) so there's no incentive to save. When Australia introduced compulsory Superannuation in 1991, the *minimum* contribution was 9%. Beyond this, most pension holders don't invest their money wisely so it barely grows. Part of the problem here is the culture of dependency on the state created in the UK. If you know that you're responsible for your own retirement, you'll take a much greater interest in retirement planning.

Shaved off some risk this past week, SK Hynix, CloudFlare and CBL. Still long these, but had grown too weighty in allocations. Hynix hard to tell hype vs fair-value. CloudFlare I still like given the infrastructure is not something easily commoditised. CBL, ty @blondesnmoney

@JoachimMo1985 Unless there are specific ETFs you want to trade which don't have decent equivalents in UK/Europe, wouldn't bother. Any data subscriptions you have get roofed in fees.

@blondesnmoney It's a junior dev - haven't seen any model reason well or contain enough context to ever build a framework from scratch, or combine many items of information without serious guardrails. Still gotta have a few brain cells...for now.
