@rational_gooner @JamesB_afc Yes I do. And I agree that could be clouding my judgement. Hes a squad player like I said. A good portion of our fanbase including me tend to think he’d do better as a cf. I accept he’s not a starter week in week out but he’s also not as bad as you seem to think.

@JamesB_afc Well maybe I’ve missed some. Credit to you just finished watching the live, you did give him credit today, my thing is mostly about the getting rid of him part. And yes we need a starting level winger, preferably Kvicha. Sadly trossard would have to be the one to go.

@AFCsnowyy @JamesB_afc Everyone can be critiqued. And yes I agree he’s been EXTREMELY underwhelming in the league. And I STILL think people and James in specific tend to be very harsh on him. Both things can be true, they are mutually exclusive

@LeSportFanatic @JamesB_afc My point is you claim he’s too harsh on Martinelli and then say he’s a brilliant “squad player” meaning you don’t think he’s good enough to be starting week in week out, which is what James is saying. He has been extremely underwhelming in the league it is not harsh to say that.

@Arsenalinsider5 @JamesB_afc Depends on whether you’ve adjusted your expectations for him or not. It’s all relative. Secondly , we seem to forget he’s 24/25 years old, players usually peak at 27. There will be peaks and valleys for young players. All I know is he’s a great squad player with potential still!

@CharlieCyprus24 @JamesB_afc Yup I’ve always wanted him to be given a run of games as the centre forward, arteta’s tactics need him to hug the touchline, which I think also stifled his development as a total footballer. Luckily he’s still quite young so there’s room for improvement.

@LeSportFanatic @JamesB_afc Final sentence sums it up perfectly. He’s a brilliant squad player, always works hard for the team, has had big moments this season in the cups. However he should not be our starting LW, in the prem he has been shocking. We just don’t have anyone else.
