3. Baleba £50m - adds the legs, steel, speed and power our midfield’s been crying out for. Can even cover RB.
4. Adam Wharton £65m - the deep-lying playmaker we’ve lacked since Eriksen.
5. Yan Diomande £75m - Big gamble on huge talent. Cunha’s a key personality. Signing a star LW might upset him.
6. Danny Welbeck — free. Smart, low-risk squad addition... With Philip Mateta as his back up.

He doesn't need to cover more ground. I wonder why people say this. In fact the biggest issue he has is on the ball, not OFF the ball.
He's 20 and of course he needs to improve in some areas as he's not the finished article. But running more is NOT one.
Main thing he needs to improve is his range of passing.
I've never ever seen anyone ask Pedri to run more. That's Mainoo's profile. He's an evasive, tempo setting midfielder.

Now we can all agree Kobbie Mainoo still has areas he needs to improve, right? He’s a top talent, no doubt, but this preseason should be about refining his game, covering more ground, improving his long-range passing, and sharpening his overall play. With the kind of names being linked ahead of next summer, competition in midfield is only going to get tougher at Manchester United. And that’s how it should be. If he wants to lock down a starting spot, he’ll have to keep developing because it won’t come as easily going forward.

Iliman Ndiaye is a player which #MUFC are monitoring ahead of the summer. It's understood that the 26 yo would be open at the oppurtunity to a move on what he sees as a dream club in Utd. Yan Diomande still remains high on the list. Very early days + midfield is the priority atm.
