The participants of the platform are always close to the families of defenders – organizing trips, rest, activities, and education, creating important moments of warmth and care. So we joined this moment at St. Sophia and came to wish the children a Happy Easter. The smiles we were greeted with are priceless. We want and must do everything so that the children of those who gave the most precious thing for Ukraine’s security never lose their faith in the world. We invite businesses, entrepreneurs, and all caring people across different regions to join the “To the Children of Our Defenders” Platform, support its initiatives, and launch their own efforts to help the children of defenders. Not only on holidays – but every day, we are grateful to all who are fighting for Ukraine. And all our care is for their loved ones.

Today, we defined the parameters of our response to any potential violations of the ceasefire by the Russian army. We all understand who we are dealing with. Ukraine will adhere to the ceasefire and respond strictly in kind. The absence of Russian strikes in the air, on land, and at sea will mean no response from our side. The Ukrainian army is ready for any developments on the frontline. Ukraine has repeatedly proposed various ceasefire formats to Russia, and we believe that Easter should be a time of silence and safety. A ceasefire on Easter could also become the beginning of real movement toward peace – our side has made the corresponding proposal. I discussed with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the procedures for Ukrainian units under a ceasefire. Information about the symmetrical nature of our actions and the possible extension of the ceasefire beyond Easter has also been communicated to the Russian side.

Українська армія готова до будь-якого розвитку подій на фронті. Україна неодноразово пропонувала Росії різні формати припинення вогню, і ми вважаємо, що Великдень має бути часом тиші та безпеки. Припинення вогню на Великдень могло б стати і початком реального руху до миру – з нашої сторони відповідна пропозиція є. Обговорили з Головнокомандувачем Збройних Сил України порядок дій українських підрозділів в умовах припинення вогню. Також інформація про дзеркальний характер наших дій та можливе продовження припинення вогню і після Великодня була доведена до російської сторони.
