🌿 LOCAL GoGREEN Partners Meeting Underway in #Zagreb! The LOCAL GoGREEN partners of the project are gathered this week in Zagreb, #Croatia, for a new partners meeting dedicated to advancing our shared mission of supporting greener, more resilient local communities. 🟢 One of the key objectives of the first day was a technical visit to a renewable energy facility that converts garden waste into clean heating energy for plant greenhouses. Participants had the chance to see firsthand how this innovative biomass system transforms municipal gardening residues into hot water used for greenhouse heating, significantly reducing reliance on natural gas. A dedicated storage tank allows the system to regulate temperature according to real-time needs, ensuring both #energyefficiency and optimal conditions for plant cultivation. But the visit was just the second part… 👉 First, the project partners started the day with an intensive working agenda throughout the meeting. 🌍 LOCAL GoGREEN – IV Partners Meeting in #Dryanovo, #Bulgaria During the IV Partners Meeting of our European project LOCAL GoGREEN, we explored new ideas to enhance 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 🎯 A key focus was on how to better connect pilot representatives—either through direct exchanges or by organizing joint events with cluster municipalities and 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 (𝗧𝗘𝗚). This group plays a key advisory role by supporting the Local Working Groups in each pilot municipality. The TEG is essential for ensuring that the local projects are not only well-designed, but also scalable and aligned with broader EU 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀. 👉 These discussions are vital for strengthening our shared mission of sustainable local development across Europe! 📸 As part of the meeting, we also had the opportunity to visit the Dryanovo Monastery and the Bacho Kiro Cave, a site of immense historical significance where the oldest traces of human life in Europe were discovered. 🌿 LIFE LOCAL GoGREEN Partner Meeting begins in #Dryanovo, #Bulgaria! After a fascinating historical visit yesterday to explore the rich cultural heritage of the region, today we officially begin our fourth transnational partner meeting in the beautiful town of Dryanovo. 🌍 Youth and Sustainability: Shaping the Future of Our Cities 🌱 📌 On Monday, March 31, at the Domenico Savio School in #Potenza (Italy), a team from the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis (@CNRsocial_ -IMAA), including researchers Monica Salvia and Filomena Pietrapertosa, led a workshop with third-year students on “𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀”. 🌍 The session provided an opportunity to discuss key #climatechange challenges and promote more sustainable and responsible behaviors. After an introduction to the concepts of #mitigation and #adaptation, the discussion focused on the critical role cities and citizens must play in addressing the #climatecrisis. ✍ European initiatives supporting the transition towards climate neutrality and resilience were also presented, including the 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, which fosters #cleanenergytransition in small urban centers, with a particular focus on the Italian municipality of hashtag#Tito. 🌱 The workshop also introduced climate planning tools available through the @eumayors Covenant of Mayors - Europe for Climate and Energy, the European Climate Pact, and the role of ambassadors in promoting #sustainability. A key example was the EuCliPa.IT - Associazione italiana del Patto Europeo per il Clima, which unites Italian citizens and climate ambassadors. 👩‍🎓 Students actively engaged in the discussions and participated enthusiastically in interactive activities such as "Climate Steps" and "Postcards from the Future," demonstrating great awareness and interest in tackling climate change.
