In the small town of Odessa, Washington, a group of high school students noticed a problem—and decided to do something about it. Their beloved Old Town Hall—a 100-year-old gathering place for seniors—was in serious disrepair. Damaged floors, peeling walls, and aging infrastructure put the health and safety of its senior visitors at risk. That’s when 32 students launched Project RRR: Replace, Refresh, Restore—and put in more than 200 volunteer hours to breathe new life into the building. 🏆 Grant Winner: EmpowerHER At Alliance Academy for Innovation, Michael Hall and his team of student leaders saw a need—and took bold action. 💪 Recognizing how a lack of menstrual products could disrupt students’ education and well-being, they set a goal to install free-access supplies in six school restrooms. After meeting with school leaders, securing donations, and crafting creative, cost-saving solutions, they made it happen. In Bridger, Montana, a group of middle and high schoolers are proving that connection knows no age limit. ❤️ Their “Ageless Allies” project started with monthly visits to their local senior center—but it didn’t stop there. When they found out the kitchen (serving 300+ people!) needed upgrades, they stepped up in a big way. 💪 They raised funds and secured a $2,000 Lead4Change grant to cover a full month of nutritious meals. 🏆 Grant Winner: ELCO’s Fit4Change Holly Hartman and her students at Eastern Lebanon County High School saw a critical need in their community—ensuring families had warm clothing for the winter. Their goal? Collect 500 clothing items and raise $200 for a local homeless shelter. Through a community-wide effort, they placed collection boxes at 11 locations, hosted a reduced-cost clothing sale, and created a welcoming shopping experience complete with music and hot chocolate. The result? They tripled their collection goal, gathering 1,600 items and raising $410! 🏆 Project Winner: Cans 4 A Cause Michael Toth and his students at Accompsett Middle School saw the growing need for food assistance in their community and took action. Their goal? Collect between 500 and 1,500 canned goods to support local families facing food insecurity. Through a three-week food drive, they not only gathered 1,100 canned goods but also partnered with a local elementary school to teach younger students about hunger and how they could help.
