Many kids are learning about this through TikTok. They are seeing the hit and asking what happened and trying to process it. They are not seeing it through traditional media.

@lyman_brian From North Alabama I can back that up. Not POTUS level busy but had to wait for parking space. For primary I was only one in polling place to cast a ballot for a good 5 minutes or so.

Spoke with Secretary of State John Merrill earlier. Said turnout was on pace (at midday) for 44%, roughly where their 45 to 50% estimates were. Merrill said turnout seemed heavier in northern Alabama, with more contested races. #alpolitics
