Today, Restore Britain councillors walked out of a debate on illegal migration in Kent and refused to vote to declare a migration emergency.
They walked out alongside Labour, Lib Dem and Green councillors.
They are not serious about fixing Britain.

Ugh. No wonder people aren’t voting conservative anymore.
This kind of bien pensant ‘I’m better than you because I can afford not to claim expenses and I give all my councillor allowance to charity’ attitude is just awful.
The whole point of a member allowance is that it’s meant to open up standing for public office to those who can’t afford to do it for free. You know, those who don’t have a wealthy spouse, inherited wealth or a gold plated pension?
God forbid that ordinary people might get elected!!

How do you 'gag democracy' by holding a public debate? Explain that one to me... If opposition voices were silenced, it's likely to be because they walked out of the public meeting 🤷
Oh and Leaders cannot 'overrule legal officers'. It's the Monitoring Officer's decision and they decided to allow the debate - despite Conservative Councillors trying to stop it.
