State capitalism in the auto industry works like this. They secure the materials. They control the refining. They absorb ideas globally. They manufacture at scale. They underprice competitors. High amounts of Gallium are needed for NVDA Rubin chips, and China makes 98%. There are a dozen examples like this. AMD and NVDA need 850 ton pa of Tantalum in 4 years, which is about the world's entire production today They secure midstream processing. They prioritise domestic capacity buildout. They scale compute infrastructure. They close the capability gap. Once scale is sufficient, they export AI services, hardware, or integrated systems at materially lower prices, potentially 50 per cent below Western equivalents, using supply chain control and state financing to compress costs. The logic is vertical integration plus price compression applied to AI instead of autos. And our MAG 7s act like they are the only ones who can do AI.
