@captainchaser21 Sorry, when did the family proclamation to the world become canonized scripture? And when did the clause about individual adaptation of such roles get removed from it? Thanks in advance.

Once again, PERFORMATIVE RHETORIC! This church and its managerial class are so ridiculous. Our leaders will tell us how lamentable our declining rates of marriage and birth-rates are, but then go and promulgate slop like this that not only reinforces the feminist orthodoxy of the day, but IS THE CATALYST for this decline. Unreal that canonized scripture, like the family proclamation to the world, is null-and-void according to this post. The text contradicts it plainly: “Our callings from god can look different, and that’s beautiful”. I guess the eternal, providentially inspired gender roles as stipulated in the FPW don’t exist now!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints@Ch_JesusChrist

“I grew up in Arizona, served a mission in Mexico, and went to college thinking I had a pretty clear path for my life. Then I met my now wife Victoria, and everything changed in the best way. “She always knew she wanted to be a doctor. Pediatric neurology isn’t an easy road, but it’s who she is, compassionate, steady, brilliant, and drawn to help kids and families through the hardest things life hands them. When she got into med school in California, we packed up and moved. “Stepping into her dream together was an easy choice. I wanted to support her the way she has always supported me. And honestly, watching her work and sacrifice and love people like she does has strengthened my faith more than anything else. “My path hasn’t been as clear. I’ve tried different directions, learned a lot, prayed a lot. Some days I still feel like I’m figuring it out. But I do know that God doesn’t measure timelines. He measures love, humility, and the way we show up for each other. “Supporting her doesn’t shrink my purpose—it expands it. Our callings from God can look different, and that’s beautiful. I’m building my future too, but I’m grateful that right now, part of my purpose is cheering for the person I love most as she steps into hers. “There’s not one 'right way' to build a family or a future. For us, this is ours. And it’s sacred.” — Nate

This may not seem like much, but a little over a month ago I was extended a calling for Ward Mission Leader. Being fairly new to the Church, I didn’t realize all the responsibilities that would come with this. I began to become overwhelmed and doubted that this was going to work. Before doing anything knee jerk, I prayed that maybe I would receive direction from General Conference. Well, the first 3 talks were basically directed to me and answered ALL of my questions and laid my doubts to rest.

@Latterdaytruth I just watched a documentary about the construction of Disneyland and God answered my prayer. Dead. Serious.

The Church schedule has changed several times over several decades; however, the church floor plan hasn't. Is this a problem?

@StallionCornell I want you to know I listen to just about every episode/livestream you record. I disagree with most opinions you (and Ian) share but I'm trying to understand your point of view.

@LeadingSaints Sure. Use the same strategy we encourage our primary teachers to use. Pick one or maybe two concepts or themes, scriptures to support or expand the theme, and then ask questions.
