A Bike Rider have been confirmed dead following a tragic accident that occurred a few hours ago along the Ori Apata area of Adebayo in Ado-Ekiti.
Eyewitnesses said the incident involved a private motorcycle rider who attempted to overtake a truck on a narrow section of road.
According to those at the scene, the rider was not a commercial rider as reported.
The motorcycle tried to maneuver through a tight double lane stretch where one lane was blocked due to ongoing road construction, forcing traffic into a single lane.
The truck driver reportedly said he was not immediately aware of the motorcycle overtaking until the collision occurred.
The accident drew the attention of passersby, travelers, and commercial drivers plying the route.
Many were left in shock at the scene and called for caution from road users, especially in areas affected by construction.
As of press time, the identity of the victim had not been confirmed. Sympathizers who gathered at the scene said the body were badly damaged, making identification difficult.
Security and emergency officials are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
