And the output of a 4 day workshop on the lifecycle of a research project! Over 60 actions for improvement to be prioritised! What an amazing group who worked so hard.

I have been locked away doing a mapping exercise on the lifecycle of a research project (3 days down 1 to go). Came out to an amazing sky!

Every day is a learning day. Yesterday i learned that a cream egg doesn't melt in a 30-degree wash, but it does burst! I wouldn't recommend trying it!

I'm back! More real brown paper, more real post it notes, more real students and more real feedback. Oh and more real pizza!

What is the financial cost of automating a process?

Whilst I do love to share a good student journey map I thought this was a far prettier end to my workshop day!

Been raising my head above fixing one process at a time and discussing foundational work that needs to be in place to build improvement on.

@UoL_CI Actually looking even more practically. Automation is becoming more and more a driver for process improvement. Sounds great until you realise the state of the data and systems that HE are currently working with.

@LeanChristine We need to educate (not teach*) people about #ContinuousImprovement and let them evolve it to their own needs. * Educate means they understand it whereas teaching it means they can pass an exam on it
