These gusty winds and this low humidity have led to @NWSSanAntonio issuing a Red Flag Warning for critical fire threats until 9 p.m. tonight. Avoid outdoor burning and be careful of fire threats.

Our 911 Dispatchers got a special visit from Dixie this week. Dixie tracks missing people and suspects for @Leander_Fire . She also turns four years old tomorrow! Happy early birthday Dixie!!! 🥳

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

@Leander_Police provided traffic control and @PedernalesCoop and @atmosenergy also supported the response. Crews had to contend with outside temperatures over 100 degrees. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours, and fire was contained to the single house.

Nobody was injured in a fire in a house under construction on Saturday, Sep. 9 in Leander. The fire occurred around 5:30 p.m. in a house that was under construction in the 3000 block of Durango Hills Drive.
