Is anyone examining/investigating the relationships between big polluters/environmental destroyers, ‘nature-based solutions’ and funding of climate and environmental researchers?

Yes - do. And while you are there, do more than just sign up for bar news - become a member of the national coordinating body for wildlife health here in Australia! lnkd.in/gXGsPnUA

We just found out that the people of NSW have spent another $9 million over the past year subsiding the native forest logging industry in NSW. Scenes in the video below are unfolding everyday across the state, destroying critical wildlife habitat. It's a disgrace. #nswpol

@sherbertvet Jaz Hufschmid has always said 75% ethanol and then ambient. higher concentration of alcohol can damage mouthparts and make ID harder

Help? I am pondering the best way to store reptile mites so that they remain suitably preserved for both molecular analysis and morphological identification. Straight into 80% ethanol in the field then mount with a month? Fridge, freezer, then mount? #acarology #mite

Possibly one of the best articles I’ve read about adult diagnosis of ADHD…and Ive read more than a few since my own diagnosis 2-and-a-bit years ago #adhdwomen #Neurodiversity

@drmparrott @ZoosVictoria Funding to support long term monitoring and projects with sustainability, rather than small grants with short time frames which require a disproportionate amount of admin and far less opportunity to have real and significant impact for our species.

It's #NationalThreatenedSpeciesDay -a day to highlight our amazing Threatened Species, their threats, actions for recovery & how we can help. Also funding -let's highlight the need for greater focus & funding ❤️ We can save them when we work together 🐭🦋🦎🐸🐦🐠🦐 @ZoosVictoria

Brilliant to know that next time - because there will be a next time - we will have plenty of healing spaces for the wildlife who are impacted by climate change and environmental disasters. #wildlifewelfare matters lnkd.in/gRy55N8M

I love being able to share the work of Save Vietnam's Wildlife (SVW) with a broader audience. This piece was from an Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) series called “Pandemic Warriors”, and it was a great opportunity to show how incredible #pangollnkd.in/gS-YztzT

@MissPatVanLady @w0rldspawn @ADHDdesigner I’m curious to know if you have ADHD/have tried medication? For me it’s been life, sanity and career saving. The opportunity to understand what a ‘slow’ (aka, resembling ‘normal) brain feels like, and executive function, after a lifetime of dysfunction - why wouldn’t you?

Having untreated ADHD for 30 years has made my ADHD much harder to treat than it would have been originally. Non-treatment of ADHD causes a ton of negative consequences and comorbidities.

@ADHDdesigner @skolvikings Substance abuse is a big one. It’s extremely common for neurodivergent people who were not diagnosed and treated as children to use substances to cope with their effects as adults.
