I can confirm that giving talks on zoom is just as scary as giving talks in real life!🤭 Despite the nerves it was such a pleasure to share the things I wish I knew before starting my PhD to new students starting at @livuniphysics tomorrow! Here's a thread of the advice I gave!

There's been 121 years since Marie Curie was not going to be nominated alongside Pierre Curie and Henri Becquerel (luckily, a committee member stepped in to advocate for Marie), and we still haven't progressed. This is incredibly disappointing.

Congratulations to our 2024 medicine laureate Victor Ambros ✨ This morning he celebrated the news of his prize with his colleague and wife Rosalind Lee, who was also the first author on the 1993 'Cell' paper cited by the Nobel Committee. #NobelPrize
