Sharing one more. Hope I can inspire an entrepreneur The year is now 2011, I was 21 years old and @SagicorJa had me (at a hotel for the first time in my life) speaking at the Sagicor Motivational Seminar. Super super nervous but I would not back down. There, someone saw me speak and my business blew up. Like every team mber were sending their kids to One on One for lessons. Opportunities means nothing if you dont seize each and every moment. I will forever be grateful for everyone at Sagicor (the team, the families I became apart of, the leadership and financial support I received for my dreams). I am forever indebted to that to you for taking and betting on a boy from August Town and from Jackson Town/Rio Bueno Trelawny. Companies who continue to invest in young talents should be appreciated and supported!

PSA (and I have good reason for putting this out there): Sendana is not a Jamaican company. The only thing Jamaican about it is that the founder happens to be a Jamaican. It’s a US company. Our operations are based in the US. This is a global banking platform that works internationally. We partner with licensed partners for every part of the flow of funds that touches fiat, for all of the countries that we support (over 150 of them). Which makes us no more a concern for Jamaican regulators than PayPal or Wise is. We are also a non-custodial solution. Local FIs will need to understand that the landscape is changing, globally. For those that have been keeping up, I know they know what I mean.

CEO of CB Group, Matthew Lyn, says the company will invest $1 billion to establish new state-of-the-art facilities aimed at expanding Jamaica’s egg and pork production industry. The climate-controlled egg farm is expected to be operational by September 2026, while the pig farm is projected to produce more than 13,000 piglets annually by March 2027. Mr. Lyn noted that the company aims to partner with at least 10 to 15 contract growers and have at least 20 houses in operation. The announcement was made during yesterday’s press briefing (April 22).
