Traffic Alert: Multiple lane closures WB I435 at Lee Blvd. Leawood emergency crews have multiple lanes closed due to a crash involving several vehicles.

SILVER ALERT: Leawood PD is requesting the public’s assistance locating 76 yr old Rosemary Sutton (5’2”, 110 lbs, brown hair). She was seen earlier today driving a black 2014 Ford Escape, KS tag 712LDZ.  If anyone has information on Rosemary please contact LWPD at 913-642-7700.

Please do not drive unless necessary this morning. A layer of ice is covering the roads. Leawood PD is working multiple crashes at I435 and State Line Rd. Please avoid the area.

New Year's Taking Down DUI Campaign From Dec. 26 - Jan. 2, the Leawood Police Department will join many other law enforcement agencies across the state of Kansas in the New Year's Taking Down DUI traffic enforcement campaign. Stay safe this holiday season.

Black Friday shopping?? So are we! We have extra officers in our shopping areas today to make sure everyone stays safe. Stop by our command post at Dick’s Sporting Goods at Town Center Plaza (119th and Nall) from 11 - 1 for coffee, cocoa, and candy canes!

Today we take a moment to honor all the courageous veterans who have served our nation. A special salute goes to then men and women of our own department who have worn the uniform of the armed forces. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
