@RaniaKhalek No one is in denial, everyone warned about it, the only way to prevent it was to disarm hezbollah, which we failed to do. Lebanon cannot exist alongside hezbollah, if the cost of freedom is the south so be it, i don't care anymore, and i am southener
English

I cannot comprehend the Lebanese who are committed to staying in denial about Israel’s territorial ambitions in Lebanon.
Is it blind hatred of Hezbollah and/or Shias?
Is it a desire to be accepted by the American-led west (never gonna happen, you are NOT white)?
The Israelis are telling you they hate you and want to steal your land and start a civil war in your country as they bomb your civilian infrastructure.
What more do you need to understand this is a war on you, whether Hezbollah exists or not?
English

@cenkuygur Who asked you bro? I think we know how to get out without your toddler input, obama's world is over, you should hopp off the islamist boat while you can

@JohnSimpsonNews it had vaults of cash and gold underneath it, a lot of Lebanese know about it.
English

I don’t get it. If Hezbollah had flats in this block (unlikely in central Beirut but not impossible) why did the Israelis give everyone inside an hour to get out — including those they wanted to kill? And if there weren’t any Hezbollah people there, why destroy a building with dozens of civilians in it?
The Associated Press@AP
An Israeli airstrike struck an apartment building in central Beirut, on Wednesday. The Israeli army had warned residents to evacuate about an hour before completely flattening it as day broke.

@hahussain I think Oman is just trying to spare it's ass from iranian missiles, and make everyone blind to the fact they are benefiting greatly from the war

The guy who said, on the eve of war, that Iran had agreed to U.S. demands when Iran was not even willing to sit with Americans emissaries in the same room. Now Omani Kessinger has some new argument to make.

I’ve heard that the remaining members of Epstein’s network have devised a conspiracy to create an incident similar to 9/11 and blame Iran for it. Iran fundamentally opposes such terrorist schemes and has no war with the American people.
English

@Meg4mind1987 @NadimKoteich @alilarijani_ir L nabe taba3ak raped children, is that still relevant? Underage forced marriage is still a thing in lebanon, why pretend you are holier than thou? Epstein is a scandal in the US but in the arab region it's a norm

@NadimKoteich @alilarijani_ir Old news?

@BarakRavid @axios Israel isn’t interested in recognition from its neighbours. It’s only interested in Zionist expansionism.

🚨🚨🚨Scoop: The French government has drafted a proposal to end the war in Lebanon that would require the Lebanese government to take the unprecedented step of recognizing Israel. The U.S. and Israel are reviewing the proposal. My story on @axios

The term Middle East is a colonial and geopolitical construct, not a civilizational or historical reality. It reflects a Westerncentric worldview that defines regions by their distance from the US rather than by their own identity.
Lebanon, for example, is not a Middle Eastern country in any meaningful historical or cultural sense. It is, at most, part of the Eastern Mediterranean and, in classical geography, the Near East.
From the dawn of history, what was truly Middle Eastern in the civilizational sense began east of Mesopotamia in Persia and the Iranian plateau, not on the Mediterranean coast.
Lumping the Levant, Mesopotamia, and Persia into a single vague category erases their distinct histories and reduces them to a single colonial abstraction.
Middle East is not a place. It is a label imposed from outside.

@haningdr @nawafsalam This development broke out from Al-Akhbar. I'm not sure if we should take it seriously
English

Interesting development! The LAF commander threatens to resign because he doesn’t want to confront Hezbollah. But I’d @nawafsalam holds his ground, we’re good. Lebanese army chief raised prospect of stepping down over Hezbollah disarmament process. thenationalnews.com/news/mena/2025…
