I think it’s so ironic how a couple weeks back an artist made black fan art and it got absolute destroyed by twitter and then an artist from the official material makes black art of ishowspeed and all of sudden no one gives a fuck

We already got the 2 big characters, and what did they do? Put them behind a paywall or a grind fest that no new player is going to do. And what did they do to try to keep current players happy? They added an experimental queue, which was a good idea. But was it really experimental or just a way for PFG to prepare us so the community wouldn’t freak out when shields were added? The community was already divided about shields. PFG knew this, but instead of giving shields time, they pushed an early update right before the biggest LAN event. That was the downfall. It showed how selfish PFG is they didn’t care about the players. Shields were going to be added no matter what, and to make things worse, they didn’t even add A SINGLE PENNY to the prize pool. Yes, PFG gave us the option to turn shields off but that’s part of the problem. You know there’s an issue when a core game mechanic needs an on/off switch. The fact that six no shields tournaments have already happened speaks volumes. Do I think shields are better for the future of the game? Yes, but that’s the issue AGAIN They’re preparing for a future this game doesn’t have. The competitive scene is dead, and the game itself isn’t far off. As much as I hate to say it, I really enjoy this game and genuinely believe it gets better every season. But the player count says otherwise. What frustrates me the most is that I don’t know who to blame besides PFG. It irritates me because Ive had faith in them since day one, and now I just feel let down.
