@LedyardNFLDraft @aonbc1 He is, trust. That was a weird game from him but he has an elite IQ and feel, not a crazy athlete but it won’t matter. I’d be stunned if he doesn’t average 16, 8, 4 or better in the first year or 2.

Proud of this. Back in DECEMBER I estimated the Bucs would have $50M to spend in cash for FA this year. That was based on a project. of $305M cap. Actual cap was $301.2M so my cash proj. drops to $46.2M. How close was I? Off by $1.5M. Just enough for them to grab a cheap vet DB.

The modern NFL defense is geared to guys like Michigan LB/EDGE Jaishawn Barham, who is as violent as it gets at the size. Really good movement skills. Guarantee some DCs are banging the table for him. Top 50.

Lot of people would say this is an easy and obvious decision to make to strip it down to the studs, but sure doesn't seem like it looking around at other organizations! Hats off to Dolphins for doing this the right way and building up a lot of bites at the apple via the draft

I’ve always respected NFL teams that had the self-awareness to accept their situation and strip it down to the studs. Miami has 11 picks this year (1,1,2,3,3,3,3,4,5,7,7). Now the important part comes—hitting on the picks.
