The massacre of the Narragansett tribe during the Great Swamp Fight was a horrible and forgotten moment in New England history.

#OTD November 2, 1675, during King Philip's War, Josiah Winslow marshaled militias of the New England Confederation, about 600 men, to march to Narragansett Country to rendezvous with 400 more troops, & then burn the fort of 1,000 non-combatants hidden in the Great Swamp.
