This is a sad news and is particularly tough for students sitting exams in a few months. Classics only becomes elite because governments and policy makers make it that way. @classicsforall we will help any state school in the UK with Classics with free training and support.

Verdict on Gladiator 2. Breathtaking special effects, especially siege of Numidia. Vintage Ridley. Hilarious refs to Kubrick's Spartacus. Mescal, Pascal & Washington try hard, but the moral arc just wasn't satisfying. I so missed Russell Crowe and especially Joaquin Phoenix. 6/10
