⚽ 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 ⚽ As we approach the Cup Semi-Finals and Finals, Leeds & District FA is looking for volunteers to support the delivery of these showcase fixtures held at neutral venues. These events are a highlight of the season for our clubs, players, referees and supporters, and we are looking for volunteers to help us make the occasions run smoothly. Volunteer roles on the day may include: • Turnstile support (cash and card/contactless payments) • Car park assistance • Welcoming teams and spectators • Acting as a contact point for teams and referees • Assisting with post-match medal and trophy presentations Each fixture typically requires around 2 ½ - 3½ hours of support, and you do not need to commit to every event. We are also keen to ensure that responsibilities are shared fairly, with volunteers having the opportunity to support different roles across the semi-finals and finals, rather than the same individuals covering the same tasks each time. This is an important role within the Association, helping oversee the financial administration of the organisation and supporting the delivery of our District Cup competitions. The role typically requires around 2–3 hours per week, making it ideal for someone who would like to contribute their skills to grassroots football without a large time commitment. Key responsibilities include: 💼 Managing the Association’s finances and maintaining accurate financial records 📊 Preparing financial updates and reports for Executive Committee meetings 💳 Monitoring income and expenditure relating to District Cup competitions 🧾 Processing supplier payments and issuing invoices to clubs, leagues and organisations 🏆 Supporting the organisation of District Cup semi-finals and finals 📅 Attending regular Association meetings and contributing to discussions This role may particularly suit someone with a bookkeeping, finance or accounting background, or anyone with experience managing financial records who would like to support local football.
