I’m thinking, when I rework my novel, of introducing something quite personal into the narrative. On one hand it’s something I’d really like to write through, flip side, there’s the concern of me being a bit too ‘close’ to it and the possibility of real life people being upset.

saw ted chiang give a talk yesterday where he basically told a bunch of ai bros, "we are nowhere near having real ai, and what we call ai today is just a tool of capitalism. i don't fear ai, i fear capitalism" and the ai bros got their feelings hurt. it was great.
