@Leejay1963 What country is this in? I’ve had four, two at both ends, always under anaesthetic. I know plenty of people here in Australia who’ve had them and always under anaesthetic. Not a GA but definitely asleep and no memory of anything.

Apparently, I have good pipework according to the endoscopist. And if any of you ever have to have a colonoscopy, I would highly recommend the sedation with the midazolam and fentanyl. It will literally seem like a half-remembered dream you had.
