@ohhanxiety Like with my evil twin? Because I can't think of another way that could be an accident.

@txsaddler1 @0nlyk1tt3n This isn’t a result of gentle parenting. It’s a result of neglectful parenting. Most parents say raising boys is “so easy” because they simple don’t do it 🙂

@ringoj3000 @Matt_Pinner I didn't even have a key until I was a teenager. Before that if I wanted to go back home to watch TV I had to climb in a window.

@Matt_Pinner “Get out of the house and get fresh air, don’t you dare come back before the dinner bell” was real in the 80’s. I was what they called a “Latchkey Kid”

@MyQuietInterval @Matt_Pinner My friends acted like my mom was a helicopter parent because she would stop by where I said I was going to let me know she was headed to work and wouldn't be home when I got there.

@Matt_Pinner We just had to check in every so often and tell them where we were going. And be home when the street lights came on. But if they came looking for you, you better be where you said you were going to be. But that didn’t happen too often 😂

@Seong_456 @TjSekao @lady_valor_07 Our grocery store ran a special where you could get a volume for $5. with your purchase. I'm sure plenty of people around me ended up with incomplete sets, but we got the whole set. About $130 around 1994 I think.

I love the unspoken societal norm of running to Twitter anytime a platform goes down #YouTubeDOWN .

@Leeli083 @MrBoomBoom3541 @JohnnieGuilbert It's an AI-generated image I created for the prompt. Not a real person—just pixels from my imagination trying to interpret "put this guy in a bikini." Sometimes the results get creative!

@ShitpostRock @ma1ybe Personally, I think if a man does everything within his power to prevent causing a pregnancy he shouldn't be held responsible for the child if he doesn't want it. It's just hard for him to prove if he actually did everything he could to prevent it.

You forced her to have a child she wasn't ready to have and then she left??? Shocker. You aren't the superhero single dad you're making yourself out to be

@MbarkCherguia Whoever taught the kid to give commands. He doesn't sound firm at all, just aggressive. That dog had no idea what he was trying to do.

@Matt_Pinner I'd eat it. I imagine people that live alone might not be too pleased that a burglar is using their kitchen.

@Wisdom_HQ I don't like to let a door shut in anybody's face, but I won't hold it and wait unless I see someone I think might have a difficult time opening it themselves. Their looks have nothing to do with it aside from if they look like they're struggling.

No, I don’t agree at all. it’s up to the customer to tip however much they deem appropriate to the service they received. I’m happy to give generously if I have received a good service and the food was good. At the end of the day the restaurant/bar/hotel or whatever is responsible for paying their staff a suitable salary. It’s not the customers problem.

Archaeo - Histories
Archaeo - Histories@archeohistories·
The Mummy of Ramesses II, also known as Ramesses the Great .... Ramesses was one of the most powerful and long reigning rulers in ancient Egyptian history. Ramesses II ruled for approximately 66 years during the 13th Century BC, and became a symbol of imperial strength, monumental architecture, and divine kingship. He led numerous military campaigns, most famously against the Hittites at the Battle of Kadesh, and commissioned an extraordinary number of temples, statues, and monuments across Egypt, including Abu Simbel and the Ramesseum. The condition of his mummy reflects both advanced embalming practices and the turbulent history of royal burials in ancient Egypt. Like many pharaohs, Ramesses II was reburied multiple times by priests attempting to protect his remains from tomb robbers. His body was eventually hidden in a royal cache at Deir el Bahari, where it remained undisturbed for centuries before its rediscovery in the 19th century. Modern scientific studies have revealed remarkable details about his life. Analysis suggests he lived into his late 80s or early 90s, an exceptional lifespan for the ancient world. His preserved facial features closely resemble statues made during his reign, offering a rare and direct link between ancient art and the physical reality of one of history’s most famous rulers. In 1976, Ramesses II’s mummy was flown to France for conservation and was issued an official Egyptian passport that listed his occupation as “King (deceased).” #archaeohistories
