We often get asked to provide feedback on referendums that we have voted NAY on. Previously, we provided detailed feedback on referendums – however this typically never resulted in the proponents changing anything about the referendum.

The last paragraph from the 2nd tweet in that thread is probably good to share with concerened users who haven't followed the news.
"The practical effect for those nominating (staking DOT) is that staking APY will decrease as a result of lower issuance. It should be noted that while the APY percentage is dconcernedecreasing, your proportional share of the rewards pool relative to other stakers isn't dramatically changing. And crucially, less DOT being issued every year."
