IFB! Checkmark or not, don't care. If you are an English speaking patriot, believer, or really good at satire, I want to get to know you. Am I following you? Or following you back? Let me know.

Grok - please translate this from democrat propganda spewing spurge into "normal people" speak. Grok: New ICE data show that nearly 30% of ICE arrests are people with criminal convictions of ALL kinds, many with multiple convictions, and most pose an imminent public safety threat.
David J. Bier@David_J_Bier

New ICE data show that over 71% of ICE arrests are people without criminal convictions of ANY kind, let alone a public safety threat.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. Robert A. Heinlein

The school counselor called me in last Tuesday because my son was crocheting during lunch instead of playing basketball. She had this concerned look, the one that says "we need to talk about your child's social development," and I knew exactly where this was going. He's been with me for eight months now, my adopted son, and apparently spending his free time making potholders instead of throwing balls is some kind of red flag. I wanted to scream at her that for fifteen years in the system, he learned to hide every single thing that made him happy because someone always had an opinion. But I just sat there, hands folded, while she suggested "more masculine activities" like sports or coding club. When I got home, he was at the dining room table surrounded by yellow and burgundy circles, his fingers moving so fast with that hook I could barely track the stitches. He'd been watching tutorials again, the grandmother from Kansas who teaches traditional patterns, and he'd made eight trivets without me even noticing. "Teacher said I'm weird," he told me without looking up. "Said crochet is for girls." So I did what any reasonable mom would do. I bought him better hooks and gorgeous cotton yarn from a maker on the online app who sent a note saying "create fearlessly," and I took this photo. Posted it everywhere with a caption that basically said crochet has no sex and people can keep their opinions to themselves. The response was insane. Other parents messaging me about their sons who secretly cross stitch, their daughters who weld, all these kids hiding their passions because someone decided what belongs to who. Now he's talking about opening his own shop on the online app, selling his work and keeping the money for art supplies. Last night he looked at me and said, "Thanks for not making me normal, Mom." I'm not crying, you're crying.
