Oh no I know not every chapter is the same. It's still the same issue though that DSA STILL deals with the Ultra leftists. Doesn't mean there isn't good chapters and folks inside it. I was talking to another former DSA person who says they still hope there's a clash and leadership changes.

AOC collaborated with Lindsey Graham on the DEFIANCE Act, which would allow victims of nonconsensual deepfake AI porn to file civil suits. @parishilton endorsed it. It passed through unanimous consent in the Senate, but it has stalled in the House. “Senator Graham, Senator Hawley as well were instrumental in securing bipartisan support for this legislation to protect kids, women, everyone from non-consensual AI-developed porn, and it passed the Senate unanimously. Every single Republican voted for it, and so when it comes to the House, I think we just got to ask Jim Jordan.”

I've read one communist literature or manifesto by Engles. I started but have not finished Marx. I do plan on it! I like these groupings of the bourgeoisie and working people and who the real enemy is. I agree in some aspects capitalism is a problem. That's why I want reforms. The strong more anti-capitalist stories I've read come from the black panthers. I really like how they put segregation, Jim Crow, slavery in the context that it's the highest forms of capitalism and I definitely agree with that outlook. But yeah, I'm open and do my own research on political systems I don't align with fully such as communism. But it my mind it doesn't make me any less of a socialist. However some disagree and say no communism is the final form of socialism. Which is why I'm like I'm just a dem soc. Not a commie. Idk people like to put you in boxes.

It can be very lonely sometimes. I'm too left wing for the Democratic Party but not left wing enough for many in DSA however to some I'm welcomed in. Finding a political community that aligns perfectly with you is almost impossible but hoping I find a home soon.

I want universal healthcare, publicly owned utilities, housing, banking, etc. I support UBI, Universal childcare, tuition free college, the end to the genocide in Gaza, I support unions for all jobs and a living wage not a minimum wage. I want to tax the rich, national programs like paid leave, sick leave, vacation. I believe we need progressive rent control where we lower rent and give States the ability to control rent pricing. I want Government grocery stores to compete with private store to bring down costs. I want to lift the embargo's on Cuba, Venezuela, Congo. I'm a humanitarian and don't believe citizens should be suffering because of people's Governments, and more. I want to reform capitalism in a huge way. I believe a mixed system where you have socialist policies and reformed capitalism is where people flourish.

@LeftyWinter it's a question of whether or not you support capitalism in it's current form. If you do, then stick with the DNC, if you want to expand government programs and change society, then you are a socialist and the DNC will fight to stop you
