Love this from a South African farm+ council: solar + vegetation. Power to community homes & offset the market energy inflation, food to community, 50% less water than "traditional" farming, with higher yields from the plants absorbing heat from Solar. What Teagasc won't do.

Imagine the government undertaking an ambitious plan of planting fruit trees for everyone to enjoy. Apple trees in all our national parks. Pear trees along all the new greenways. Plum & other fruit trees everywhere so that people can pick whilst out on a walk #ThinkOutsideTheBox

First world problems; the boss / better half says I have to cut back the (very rural) roadside frontage wild garden. I disagree but she’s obviously ‘always’ right. It’s fab for bees (wild mint, pride of Madeira, poppies etc) but what’s the consensus. Trim the bush or go wilder?
