Cooked up a new team in Pokemon Champions featuring dual screens Sableye and Archaludon and went on a 17 game win streak in high Master Ball elo with it.
Combined with healing from Sinistcha, Archaludon truly feels like a final raid boss. Feel free to give it a try!

This is the Slowbro Sun team I used to get to Champion Tier on ladder yesterday. Today the Champions Festival didn’t work out but felt the RNG wasn’t going my way. Moving on and will team build better next time.

Today marks one of the biggest VGC tournaments in history, The Grand Champions Festival, hosted by @JacobSkraw!
Here's the current usage data. With 10,000 players entered, there's a super wide range of Pokemon being used.

@CableVGC You bring up a good point Caleb! Maybe top 5 is excessive. But its usage is definitely being warped due to accessibility.
Think of the people not using Floette because they don’t have Pokemon ZA. I don’t even bother testing it on showdown since I wouldn’t be able to get one.

@LegacyVGC Given we can test on things like Showdown to decide if we need Floette beforehand, no shot is its availability why it its usage isnt top 5.

If everyone had access to Mega Floette, I definitely see its usage being in the top 5. Personally, I don’t want to purchase a game and grind +40 hours for 1 Pokemon. So I rather build a team that can beat it as many other vgc players. 😂

As expected, the first major Champions tournament of the format, with over 1,000 players, ended with a top cut completely dominated by Mega Floette. That is not okay at all. Champions is not supposed to be a pay-to-win game! #paytonwin 🥱

Played Mega Blastoise in the Warm Up Tournament. Team felt decent but still needs some work. It struggled vs opposing TW teams and certain Rain/Sand compositions.

Y’all really thought you could trust a Smeargle + minimize Muk player?
Played him in an online tour one time. He brought Iron Hands (despite it not being legal in that regulation) and homie still got cooked so hard. I knew he couldn’t be trusted after that experience. 😂
