To the author's credit, the takeaway from the article is that these reissues are justified on artistic grounds.
A hit piece that was merely a hit piece would not concede that, and indeed it's the only thing that matters.

See the rate of pica in american blacks and africans.
Also, just look up pica on youtube. There's a pretty obvious trend in the sufferers.

I am a rural southerner, and I have never seen or heard of white people eating dirt, ever.
