Drake is better off going independent and in doing so, UMG will be struggling to convince other top artists to renew their licensing deals. I suspect the board will fire Lucian for mishandling Drake if he exits UMG. I'm so glad I put myself in a social media blackout before listening to Drake's albums. The opinions on here, in comparison to how I felt about the projects, are night and day. There's still so much to explore, but overall, it was a very pleasant listening experience. For anybody to say that this was bad or even mid is just attempting to generate some sort of engagement. Each of these albums is for a different demo of Drake's fan base, which is also a slight flex in that the people that were hating on him are incapable of doing something like that, unless they had him featuring on the song, ironically enough. I know that it's good because I cannot wait to listen to this at least another 3-10 times over the next week, which is not something that many albums have done for me in the past six months, with the exception of "Octane" by Don Toliver. (I love this outro, such a standout)
