I calculated the Effective Raw for each elemental Monstie in Monster Hunter Stories 3 to compare their firepower. Non-Elemental: Silverwind Nargacuga Ice: Velkhana Fire: Hellblade Glavenus or Deadeye Yian Garuga Thunder: Boltreaver Astalos Water: Soulseer Mizutsune Dragon: Malzeno I reverse-engineered the damage formula based on the in-game damage numbers. Skills like Atk Boost(XL), Dancer(XL), and All-Out(XL) act as multipliers to the base attack. I found that when I applied the Bingo Bonus (Element + Attack Type) and the Critical modifier at the very end, my calculations matched the in-game damage within a 2% RNG margin. Lore-wise, I'm not sure why Nergigante didn't show up in the Old World like Velkhana and the Bazelgeuse duo, especially considering he can sense that sort of stuff. My best guess is that he was either hibernating or was too far away to sense the Qurio activity.
