Pentagon says the war against Iran has cost $25 billion but analysts say that’s a big understatement The cost to world economies must run into $trillions & the Hormuz remains closed, there’s been no real regime change, but USA again says Irans nuclear dreams are crushed.

Israel appoints its first-ever Special Envoy to the Christian World! 🇮🇱✝️ Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar named George Deek, an Arab Christian diplomat and former ambassador, to deepen Israel’s ties with Christian communities worldwide. A great move!

At Arlington National Cemetery, The King and Queen pay tribute to the Fallen at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.   Covering more than 600 acres, Arlington is interred with more than 400,000 veterans and their family members, alongside two former US Presidents. The cemetery also contains British Commonwealth graves.   Whilst at the cemetery, Their Majesties also met service personnel from the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand by the Canadian Cross.

The Green Party’s newest candidate thinks destroying our national symbol is "activism." We think it’s a sign of the growing disrespect for the values that unite us as Kiwis. We are one people under one law. It’s time we started acting like it.

“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” – A. A. Milne As we mark the 100th anniversary of the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh stories, The Queen has presented a very special gift to the New York Public Library, reuniting baby Roo with his friends from the 100 Acre Wood. The Library is home to the original collection of toys owned by Christopher Robin Milne, son of A.A. Milne, which inspired the characters in the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh series. The collection is missing Roo, the baby kangaroo who was lost in an orchard in the 1930s. The new addition of Roo was created by Shropshire-based company Merrythought, who also created the original toys. 👀 Watch Roo’s great adventure travelling from Buckingham Palace onboard Their Majesties’ flight to his new home in New York.

@NZNationalParty Embedding global indigenous rights and climate commitments into trade policy, amid modest projected GDP gains of 0.07% after 10 years is pretty stupid.

There’s been a lot of misinformation about immigration under the new Free Trade Agreement with India. Much of what’s being said is spin rather than substance. Here’s the facts. This FTA does not open the floodgates on immigration. It allows around 1,700 temporary three‑year work visas per year - less than 3% of all work visas. And they can’t be renewed. Total numbers are capped so there can’t be more than 5,000 at any one time. The temporary work visa is targeted at skills New Zealand already needs - like doctors, nurses, teachers, ICT and engineers. These are roles that help keep hospitals staffed, classrooms open, and businesses productive. Claims about family migration are simply wrong. The FTA does not grant automatic rights for family members to enter, work or study in New Zealand. There is no back‑door pathway. The FTA is about lifting incomes for Kiwis, not importing labour from India. It means we can sell more of what we are good at to 1.4 billion people. It’s about bringing money into local communities, and helping Kiwis get ahead.

The India trade deal is signed. It's good, not great. Sheep meat: 33% tariff gone immediately. Win. Dairy: Excluded entirely. Loss. Apples, kiwifruit: Conditional on helping Indian producers first. MFAT says 0.07% GDP bump by 2027. Modest. But it's a foot in the door of a 4 trillion economy. McClay delivered what he promised. Could've been better. Could've been nothing. #NZPol
