@wagslane It will not happen, been running a small company since 1998 and if there's one thing I don't have time to as a owner is to keep up with updates/bugs/security and so on. I could do it for sure but hell now, I'm gladly pay my share to others so I can stay sharp and focused.

The amount of time (and money) employees will waste hoping an agent can solve their problem is going to be fucking enormous this year Many hours per day watching YouTube, occasionally checking in on the LLM, only to see it needs to start over

@thepatwalls 4 weeks in, chatgpt stated a sen dev would have done it in approx 360 days if given the instructions 🚀 not ready for production yet.. hopefully will it not collapse 🙏

shipped 45,000 lines of code in the last 2 weeks. pre-Claude Code, this would've taken a senior dev 6 months. or a team of 2-3 ~2 months just kinda wild to think about

@robinebers When I read a person had a 1.2GB repo, I just WTH 😱 Setups like data centers, I don't know what they're building? 🤔 My tiny repo with pure LOC code/scripts without config is approx 29k. my goal is to keep LOC as low as possible

genuine question where are all the builders at my feed has become a 24/7 reality show about which lab did what, who subtweeted who, which model got nerfed yet the people actually shipping somehow went silent most people calling themselves builders are full of shit ngl

Quick update: Not a dev by trade, and this wasn’t my original plan — but I’m now building a full microscale product myself. It’s genuinely fascinating to watch the vision turn into code and going forward. Built directly on the core arguments of the vision.

A coding agent is a lot like a self-driving car. It takes an engineer from point A to point B and may require intervention. The eventual goal is to minimize intervention and become autonomous.

When my Ai agent gets sassy about all the rules, slaps me with FAIL, and I fire back: "No, u're wrong, nice try being stricter, but read the rules again." Ai re-checks... and outputs PASS. 😎 I'm no pro dev, but as single dad to 2 for 15 yrs, I know system, rules & consequences.

If AI writes your entire code what exactly are you being hired for?

When Claude & ChatGPT complain: You're "too strict"—best compliment EVER from Ai! 😃 Means my system is finally going forward again and the codes are as best as they can be 🙏🚀

@xoaanya An architect for sure, developer njaah.. My thoghts about it, develop with ai, learn as u go, finish it, test, test, test, stick 2 ur concept, learn how it works. U designed it and can explain it with human words and now You deeply learn the code, const, func, variables etc.

Can you really call yourself a developer if you can't code without AI assistance?

Why do so many use fear-mongering to scare AI coding newbies—or those already building? I just don't get it. Wouldn't it be WAY better for everyone (including You) to lift them up with tips and help instead? Elon & Gates don't know every code line—100% impossible! Positivity? 😏

@LeinRune Yeah this hits… backend work with no visual feedback can feel like shouting into a void.

Anyone else coding alone with AI on backend repos where breath just... stops? Building invisible stuff—no house blueprints, just endless code, zero visuals/sims. Plus that gut fear you'll NEVER reach prod or fail. A new factor I've never felt before. Who's battling? Boost me! 😵‍💫

@trikcode Gemma4 with continue 32GB ram, i9 ultra, integrated screen card. Gemma4 found the required change relatively fast, clicked apply since it was only in an .md file. 17000 lines of code gone, tsconfig gone, continue corrupted not possible to re install. Still in recovery mode 😱

Has any developer tried this? I really want to know if this is good
