Julian Assange Archive launches fundraising appeal for 2026 opening exhibition. The independent Julian Assange Archive @AssangeArchive is dedicated to preserving the global movement that fought to defend liberty by freeing Julian Assange. In recent months, the archive team has catalogued thousands of artifacts including embassy and prison letters, books, artworks, banners, and more. The archive will be a public resource: - a permanent physical collection - a digital collection and catalogue - an educational programme for schools demonstrating how grassroots action can shape the course of history. In 2026, the archive will open in Dessau, Germany. The archive seeks your support for the launch and its long term security! julianassangearchive.org

#timmy #WhaleRescue #Update #Progress

Inside the heart of the Julian Assange Archive. This is where memory is preserved, where history is carefully handled, and where every document, book, photograph, and artifact is catalogued with intention. What you see here is not just storage — it is a living archive dedicated to safeguarding one of the most significant bodies of material connected to journalism, transparency, and the pursuit of truth in the digital age. Each box, each shelf, each labeled section represents countless hours of work: sorting, documenting, preserving. Behind every item lies a story — of publications, legal battles, public discourse, and a global movement that continues to shape conversations around freedom of information. Archives like this are not static. They grow, evolve, and demand care. They are built by people who believe that access to information matters — not just today, but for future generations who will look back to understand the forces that shaped our world. This space is where that commitment becomes tangible. We continue to expand, digitize, and organize — ensuring that researchers, journalists, and the public can access these materials now and in the years to come. "If we fail to rally—collectively—we're finished." Harsh? Yes. But from GDR self-correction to 2026's creeping controls—surveillance, sanctioned voices, war as "strategy" (mainstream serves the narrative, rarely calls for stop)—it's the truth. Julian Assange's freedom? Won by us: ordinary people organizing globally. Proof it works. But pardon fights continue; precedent endangers all. Read our full essay on the precipice we're on & how to push back. Share if you agree. What's one step you'll take? api.omarshehata.me/substack-proxy… #EndThePrecedent #PressFreedom #RevolutionNow

We won. Ordinary people — vigils, art, banners — forced Julian Assange's freedom in 2024. But the precedent remains. Surveillance grows. Truth is under attack. This is not the end — it's the warning. Read why we must act NOW: open.substack.com/pub/assangearc…

On December 17, 2025, Julian Assange filed a criminal complaint in Sweden against 30 individuals associated with the Nobel Foundation. Assange's legal action centers on the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, which was awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. The complaint, submitted to the Swedish Economic Crime Authority and the Swedish War Crimes Unit, alleges that awarding the prize to Machado violates Alfred Nobel's 1895 will, which requires the prize to fund those working for "fraternity between nations" and the "abolition or reduction of standing armies". The filing accuses Nobel Foundation officials, including Chair Astrid Söderbergh Widding and Executive Director Hanna Stjärne, of breach of trust, gross misappropriation of funds, and conspiracy. Assange alleges that Machado has incited foreign military intervention and supported U.S. "maximum lethality" strategies in Venezuela, thereby making the Foundation complicit in potential war crimes and crimes against humanity under Article 25(3)(c) of the Rome Statute.

Why did supporters keep carrying the same book for years? Because it explained — clearly and evidentially — what happened to Julian Assange when the headlines didn’t. Even the author, UN expert Nils Melzer, admits he initially believed the mainstream narrative — until the evidence forced him to confront something far darker. This book didn’t stay on shelves. It travelled with the movement. assangearchives.substack.com/p/the-book-gov…

After Portugal's Centeno & Ireland's Donohoe, now a Greek completed the PIGS Submissive Trinity. This is what Empires do: They bestow honorary titles on the colonised as a reminder of their supremacy. My badge of honour, in contrast, is their hatred. euronews.com/my-europe/2025…

Today is International Human Rights Day A note from the Archive: On 10 December 2022 - "International Human Rights Day" people around the world stepped onto a chair for Julian Assange. Inspired by Davide Dormino’s sculpture "Anything To Say?", @AnythingtoSay_ this simple act became a global statement on that day: Stand up, even when it's uncomfortable. Stand up, even when you're alone. Stand up, because silence helps only power, never truth. This photo was taken in Leipzig, Germany, and yes, it was bitterly, painfully cold. In the centre stands Manja, balancing on a red chair between René and Yves from @Leipzig4A Looking back today, this image really makes us smile- Even on the chair, Manja was still shorter than the other two, kind of..😅 Which, if we’re honest , only made the moment better. Because activism doesn’t require perfect proportions. It requires presence. This picture reminds us that movements are built by people who simply show up. Julian is free, yes, but the work continues. Press freedom is still under threat, whistleblowers still face prosecution, and human rights are nowhere near secure. So to everyone who stood on chairs, held banners, froze fingers and toes, wrote letters, organised vigils, or simply refused to forget: Thank you. These moments were never small, they were the foundation of a global movement. Do you remember where you stood on a chair that December day? Please send your pictures in here in the comments. We would love to see them all. #HumanRightsDay #AnythingToSay #PardonAssange #PressFreedom #JournalismIsNotACrime #Leipzig #AssangeArchive #CourageIsContagious #Solidarity #HumanRights #WeDoNotForget #ActivismMatters #StandUpForTruth
