It’s been a busy week for our mariachis with performances at Windsor Park for Cinco de Mayo, and the Illinois Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents. They’ll perform again Monday night at 7pm with all of our LMS mariachi classes. Hope to see you there!

We performed for 5th graders at all six D33 elementary schools today! Parents, look for a postcard that came home with your child to sign up for LMS mariachi, choir, or second chance band/orchestra classes.

We had a great time performing for the LMS teachers and students today!

Our 8th grade armonia class started learning Cerca del Mar this week in two part harmony! So happy to be making music together at school again.

Our first gig of the year is done! The musicians did an awesome job, and we can’t wait to hear their continued development this year. Thanks to everyone who came out to support. Viva Los Rayos!!

LMS violin players: Please fill out the form posted in our Google Classroom to sign up for mariachi. Rehearsals will be entirely virtual for at least the first trimester. Most mariachi violin players will have just one extra piece to learn in addition to their orchestra music!
