@schultzy_j @essendonfc So we can all manage our expectations, how many preseasons training as a FWD beyond the 2 that he’s had and 26 consecutive games as a forward (last 3 of 24, 5 in 25 & 18 in 26) before we can expect him to at least convert more than 1 in 5 shots on goal into at least a score?

Not saying Brodie Kemp is going to a Coleman medalist but as a 2nd or 3rd option up fwd, just thought these are some interesting stats when put next to, what is meant to be the saviour of the @essendonfc Kemp has only played 22 games as a fwd by the way

@schultzy_j @essendonfc Apologies, confused 24 and 25… 24 he played last few games FWD, trains 24/25 preseason as fwd, played fwd early last year until injured, trains 25/26 preseason as FWD, so two preseasons. How many does one need to not shank 1 in 5 to the point of no score?

@Len_Jet @essendonfc Again, he’s not the only player who is guilty of this. And no he didn’t he did his Achilles in round 5 last year which is usually a 9-12month turn around to be 100% again. He probably used last peseason on fitness and fwd craft. This year he can focus more on his kicking

@schultzy_j @essendonfc Butchering opportunities & deflating a team who often works what seems to be twice as hard as other teams to create that opportunity. Also, he trained all summer as a forward. He played the later half of last year as a forward, how much longer do we give him to get it right?

@Len_Jet @essendonfc I’ll be sure to screenshot it when I see it, Regardless, I’m not here to defending his goal kicking. You, me and everyone else can agree that it needs to improve. But he is creating opportunities and give him a preseason to go away and fix that, I’m sure he can make an impact.

@schultzy_j @essendonfc Literally not seeing it. Nevertheless, in context of when his misses occur, yes he is costing massively. Imagine the high & momentum we take into HT if he kicks that easy shot last night. He didn't even register a score! Then again 1 in 5 of his shots don't.

@Len_Jet @essendonfc Literally everyone is saying he’s useless. Like using that exact word I don’t know if his misses were the reason we lost but I’m not going to argue that they weren’t very costly. I just don’t think he is the only culprit in our side, yet he is the only one coping all the hate

@schultzy_j @essendonfc he's not useless, no one is saying that, but he is killing us right now and to an extent was the difference last night. His misses in the context of when they occur are team & momentum killing, especially given how hard we seem to work for our opportunities vs. the oppo.

@Len_Jet @essendonfc Yes, regardless of age kemp has only played 24 more games due to injury. Again, not saying Kemps goal kicking is good, he’s pretty handy from around the corner, but to say he’s useless is a stretch. Imo he’s worth persisting with as he does so much good in other areas

@Len_Jet @DidCarltonWin They will match, they've said as much. Why bother going all out for Ben King, he has a limited skill set and not worth the cost. Give me the cheaper option in Amartey, and we keep our picks and can look to address other areas of need
