Exciting news! The scheduled upgrade for the Soneium Minato Testnet begins tomorrow, Tuesday 8th of October. 📅
This update will introduce key improvements, including the integration of Proto-Danksharding (EIP-4844), to enhance network efficiency and reduce L1 fees on Sepolia.
There is no expected downtime and no action required from users or developers. All products and services, including the native bridge, will continue to operate as usual. ⚙️

We announced the transition from Astar zkEVM to Soneium a month ago. One of the most frequently asked questions we’ve received is about the future direction of Astar and the role of the ASTR token. This transition represents the first of two phases in Astar Evolution. Phase 2 is set in stone at Astar Foundation, and we are entering the execution phase.
Our core position is that Astar will be strongly aligned with Soneium's success. This is natural given @StartaleHQ is developing both @AstarNetwork and @Soneium.
Here are some potential directions we are considering and would love to discuss with our community.
1) ASTR as an ecosystem asset
2) ASTR as a DeFi asset
3) ASTR as a Currency in Consumer Applications with AA
4) ASTR in Enhancing Soneium Infrastructure Security
