If you want a genuine answer… you say Scotland has “unlimited amounts of people” arriving. It’s not true. We currently have a declining population, which is a cause for economic stagnation and spirals into the unemployment crisis, housing crisis and cost of living crisis. The unemployment crisis is a result of economic stagnation and as a result greater costs for businesses (for a variety of reasons, including greater oil cost, greater import costs post-Brexit etc), especially when taking on a new employee with the associated NI. This then spirals into less people working, so less people spending, so less income for businesses. The source of the housing crisis, to my understanding, is two-fold. An accumulation of wealth (seeing existing properties value range high above the average wage growth) and a shortage of supply (once again increasing cost). A reduced population results in a lessening of demand, perhaps bringing short term costs down but resulting in long term shortages (e.g. shortage of demand post 08 crash). Also, if you truely believe immigration is the number one issue then the best solution would be Scottish independence. Nobody is getting a boat across the North Sea, or travelling across England to get here unless assigned here by the British government
