Rainbow Class have been exploring the scents and textures of different plants and fruits as part of their Cornerstones project: Ready Steady Grow. The crushed herbs and flowers made fantastic perfume!

As part of their Healthy Me @JigsawEduGroup lessons, Rainbow Class have been learning about good food choices and the importance of brushing teeth twice a day!

Rainbow Class have been learning about minibeasts as part of their Creep Crawl Wriggle @Cornerstonesedu project. They have been busy designing and creating new bugs, making minibeast hats and collecting snails!

As part of @BDA_Deaf Sign Language Week, Mrs Horlock taught the children a beautiful song in sign language, which they performed brilliantly in assembly. Such a proud moment for everyone!

Year 3 put their learning into practise as they carried out an earthquake drill in class

Year 3 have been looking at how much energy different foods provide as part of our @JigsawEduGroup ‘Healthy me’ PSHE unit

@Cornerstonesedu TV Year 6 have been exploring the work of Inuit artist Kenojuak Ashevak and using this to inspire their own Arctic animal printing and stencil pieces.

As part of their latest @Cornerstonesedu history unit, Class 5 used drama to explore social hierarchy in Ancient Greece.

Year 4 have been learning about the story of Easter, reading the stories from the Bible and exploring how Jesus is described as the bread of life. We made delicious cinnamon, raisin bread in the classroom and designed our own chalice (goblet from which communion wine is served).

Y1 had a fantastic time making their London Taxis in @Cornerstonesedu DT lessons this week. They selected a box (chassis) and choose which method they wanted to use to attach the axles and wheels. They then tested their models to see which design worked best.

This morning, in PE Year 2 focused on team-building skills. They worked together to untangle a human knot, using great listening and teamwork to succeed!

As part of the @Cornerstonesedu topic Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Year 5 created vibrant Eid-themed stained glass sun catches to brighten the classroom in readiness for the celebration.

In their latest @Cornerstonesedu Science unit, Class 5 explored the phases of the moon using torches, 'moons' and themselves to represent Earth

Class 5 had another brilliant session at Forest School!   This is week we learnt how to strike a steel and flint to make sparks and light a ball of cotton wool -it was MUCH trickier than it looked. At the end of the session we had a big 'Bungalow' sing-song in Base Camp

Year 3 had a busy afternoon - making paper and testing materials to see what would make the best hankie.  Some great scientific investigation

Year 1 have enjoyed the exciting investigations in science week. The children made paper gliders, aeroplanes and helicopters. We tested which design flew the furthest and fastest.  We also explored colour mixing by pouring water onto skittles and watching how the colours mixed.
