@Leo_Chip Because eventually players will demand to be able to own and trade their assets. Just like the people demanded BTC to be the new store of value, govt had no incentives but it happened over time.

The intersection of crypto & games is in a strange spot right now, but I believe that eventually all games will adopt either the low-hanging fruit of a skin economy or, in other cases, move toward having all their items and currencies on-chain. Think Off The Grid (skins) vs Star Atlas (everything on-chain) two completely opposite ends of the spectrum. Part of the issue is that we’re all still learning including the gamers themselves. The most they’ve experienced at scale is CS:GO, so it’s a complete paradigm shift for them to envision every game, at minimum, having a skin economy. We make up a very small percentage of the overall gaming industry, and most experienced game developers have never designed a game economy with monetary value outside of their own game. If we take Fortnite as an example do you think they care about how many VBucks or skins they sell? They don’t need to think about the impact that might have. It doesn’t matter. It’s an infinite money glitch and who can blame them? This is why I still believe indie games are the way to go when it comes to experimenting with game economies. They take less money to make, and they can iterate much faster. In the meantime, developers could also explore creating a studio/ IP token that functions like a stock launching multiple games under one umbrella and sharing profits with token holders through buybacks and a community treasury, much like Axie. Today my journey with G-Loot ends. It's been a long and varied experience. Going from CSGO to primarily working with PUBG was new and exciting while building a brand and community.
