Leoma Elementary School

These ladies have no idea how much they are appreciated! They work so hard every single day to feed us! Kids can’t learn if they are hungry! They are so important and “essential” to their learning. Plus, they’re kinda fun to have around!! I love the shirts and masks , ladies!

Labor Day will be celebrated on Monday, September 7, and school will be closed. To accommodate those students on the Hybrid A schedule, they will come to school on Tuesday and Wednesday of that week.

Time to take all the money budgeted for standardized tests in 2020-21 and invest it in digital resources for students and professional development for teachers.

This was donated today to the Animal Shelter on behalf of Leoma School. Luckily, they only have three dogs at the moment! Thanks to all the students that brought in as part of our Kindness Month activities. ( Due to Covid-19, we unable to deliver until today! )

Our last meal pick up had to end abruptly yesterday. We will pick up again this morning at 10:30. See you then and there! Also, if you need an athletic physical form or the new disclaimer form, we will have them available.

Lawrence County Schools will be closed through March 31. The closing might be extended due to state and community health concerns. Please visit lcss.us for more information.

Several students were absent on Friday that were not able to pick up their Chromebook or work packet in case we are out for an extension to our Spring Break. Mrs Burns will be at school tomorrow between 2:00-3:00 ( Monday) if you would like to come by. Please use her side door.

: Lawrence County Schools will be CLOSED on Wednesday 12.11.2019 due to potentially hazardous travel conditions related to wintry weather.

Because of the potential of afternoon weather, we are canceling ALL after school activities for this afternoon. ESP, STEMventures, open library , and the ballgame are all canceled for Tuesday, December 10. There has been no decision on whether early dismissal is necessary.

Some of our staff began the holiday with a paint party. What fun we had!!!

Don’t forget our Autumn Adventures on Friday, Nov. 15, from 6:00- 8:30. Chili, grilled cheese, crackers, drink for $5; Bingo begins at 6:30; bake sale; silent auction; cakewalk; face painting; karaoke; carnival games; caramel apples and a family craft to complete.
