I don’t think we can ever really say this enough, but if you’re an NHS worker just coming off shift, or about to go on shift, you have the gratitude of an entire nation. Sending you love and strength and thanks beyond words. None of this will be forgotten.

@wmasrobmoore @LeonAndJune Us social care staff are exactly the same. I am part of the short term and urgent support care team, we also take in hats service users so we will be dealing with those who have it. We all need to stay safe, keep physically and mentally health. People need to stay in.

In my experience the vast majority of people are taking this crisis seriously, responding responsibly & helping each other like never before. While media & twitter focuses on the irresponsible exceptions, let’s remember the vast majority are doing the right thing.

Happy 74th birthday to Alan Bleasdale. Alan is an extraordinary writer who manages to capture the lives of ordinary people and present the stories in an accessible manner. One of his most poignant and, indeed, most loved dramas was 'The Boys From The Blackstuff'.
