Hey guys! It's been a long time since I posted on here. I decided I'd have some fun and just vent about life on a new channel. It's a bit like the old gameplay commentaries we did back in the day. Check it out if you want! - youtube.com/watch?v=o4fHHB…

Only thing you should care about for the foreseeable future is having as much fun as you can. "Be greedy when others are fearful" except do it with your actual life. Be insanely cognizant of the time you have on this earth. Understand that nothing is more important than presence Nightmare scenario has nothing to do with whatever is going on in the world. There's always something. It's simply seeing the clock hit midnight in 9 months realizing you're still in the same room, glued to the same screen, venting about the same people online as you were exactly one year ago Not a privileged take whatsoever. Free to feel the sun on your skin. Free to rekindle your relationship with God again. Free to look yourself in the mirror and realize you're still the same kid on the playground. More love, more soul, more gusto. Never let "them" psyop the spirit out of you

Sure, your eyes aren’t tricking you. That clip looks better than the new trailer, and the reason has nothing to do with talent. The VFX supervisor on Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014? Jerome Chen. The VFX supervisor on Brand New Day? Also Jerome Chen. Same person. Completely different system around him. In 2014, Chen had 50 effects artists at Sony Imageworks, the largest VFX crew the studio had ever put on a single project. They handled about 1,000 of the film’s 1,600 VFX shots on a $255 million budget. The crew shot on real film (not digital), on location in actual New York City, scanned Times Square with 36,000 photographs of over 100 billboards, and built physical lighting rigs on set so the CGI would match the real world. Now look at how Marvel makes Spider-Man movies. No Way Home had 2,500 VFX shots spread across 12 studios and about 3,000 artists. The budget was $200 million, $55 million less than TASM2 despite having 56% more VFX shots. Digital Domain, one of the VFX vendors, was delivering final shots days before the December 17, 2021, release. They kept reworking shots into mid-January, after the movie was already in theaters. Zoom out, and the math gets worse. Marvel released 6 films between 2008 and 2012. From 2023 to 2025, they pushed out 7 films and 7 TV shows. The Hollywood union representing VFX workers reported that Marvel pays artists about 20% below industry average and staffs one person where other studios hire three. Artists described 64-hour weeks and breakdowns on the job. Then, in February 2025, Technicolor, the parent company of MPC (three-time Oscar winner for Life of Pi, The Jungle Book, and 1917), collapsed almost overnight. 4,500 jobs gone globally. The studio had been actively working on Disney and Paramount films when the lights went out. Brand New Day has four months before release, and trailers routinely show unfinished shots. But the gap between a 2014 Spider-Man and a 2026 Spider-Man has nothing to do with technology going backwards. The industry has been asked to do three times the work for less money per shot while its biggest studios are going under.

Someone explain how this looks better than the new Spiderman trailer. This movie is 12 years old.

There's a guy on TikTok who starts every video saying, "I've made millions in my 20s." He then goes on to give some sort of life advice. The funny thing is the way he made money is he was part of the class action lawsuit against Travis Scott for that Astroworld event where 10 people died.

Find this topic very interesting. There’s a reason many people feel like maintaining a healthy relationship feels more impossible than it used to. It’s complex, but the re-enforcement loop of algorithms serving content that preys on your emotional needs of that moment is like slow drip poison. Tiny drip after drip of what feels empowering and cathartic, is generally just self serving slop that re enforces your own selfish thought loops that undermine a fundamental pillar of healthy relationships — selflessness. Any inclination of “how can we work on serving each other better” turns into finger pointing and “it’s not me it’s him/her”. Day after day, month after month… insidiously seeping into your subconscious mind that is most vulnerable during the hours of feed scrolling self-soothe that have become our daily rituals. LLM’s have now taken up the torch, as people turn to their AI therapist for advice from models that are trained on and downstream of this phenomenon manifesting across Reddit posts and social media battlefields alike… you would be hard pressed to find a model that will actually tell you what it might take (spoiler: it’s typically the hard route that requires uncomfortable introspection) to foster a truly healthy and loving and equitable relationship. Instead, they default to nepotism and re enforcing the very behavior that led you to making the (questionable) decision to turn to a robot for help with incredibly complex human emotions in the first place. This is a loop that will continue to re enforce itself, as internet culture continues to reward the dramatic attention seeker and makes no mention of the self aware stoic that would sooner turn inward to do the real work than online for banal affirmations.

& it’s not just llm’s telling you. you are in a reinforcement loop when you’re on the internet & you don’t even realize it.

@LeonLush I really hate the over use of the word "woke." I don't know nearly enough about the situation to make a judgement on it, but just because it's something we don't like doesn't make it "woke."
