@sainsburys Why is it so difficult to speak to anybody? Every route tries to send you back to the website FAQs which obviously can't tell you where your missing delivery is. How can you run logistics when local issues are dealt with by a contact centre in another country? All mysteries...🤦🏼‍♀️

@ianlush13 @RosieOldham8 100% agree. Often the very best candidates submit at the 11th hour because they're so busy doing the other things they already do really well (and are paid for!). As it's effectively a speculative activity, they've legitimately prioritised it as a 'just in time' activity.

@RosieOldham8 Completely agree, shouldn't be allowed, many of the best applications I have seen have come in the day before the closing date. Just another example of hidden prejudice, should be going the same way as asking for unnecessary degrees, not stating salary etc.

I'm seeing a lot of job ads where 'applications may close early' - PLEASE don't do this, it disadvantages people who can't put applications together immediately, e.g. who have caring responsibilities (more likely to be women), or disabilities that require fixed appointments etc.
